I had never had someone yell so loud and so close to me that spit actually flew out onto my face. Had I not been so intimidated by their large stature and harsh tones, I would have been upset with the violation of my personal space. However, I was too busy cowering in fear to be concerned with such matters.
I quickly found it was most effective to simply go with the flow and just follow everyone else. Nothing at this point mattered to me, all I wanted was to get away from all the screaming and yelling, and get out of the rain.
At last we made it inside a building where I remember looking at my watch and seeing that it was hours. I thought to myself, this was great because we would be going to bed soon, as it was already late.
We spent the entire night standing up and sitting down every time a superior walked into the room. I honestly think they did this to simply mess with our minds. After being awake for almost 24hours we were taken to the barracks where we would finally be allowed some sleep.
